Current Data on Curbside Parking
As part of the BMVI-funded ACUP project, the city of Aachen, together with the Institute for Urban Planning and Traffic of RWTH and SONAH GmbH, is investigating parking behavior in two example neighborhoods. For this purpose, a total of 30 video-based sensors have been installed along Friedrichstraße/Augustastraße and Magratenstraße/Rolandstraße in a pilot project, which (in compliance with data protection) detect available parking spaces.
This infographic shows the currently available curbside parking spaces in these two neighborhoods. On the map-based representation, detailed information about the available or occupied spaces is displayed.
Due to calibration measures, it may temporarily occur that some areas are not recorded for short periods.
