The exhibition marking the 200th anniversary of Theater Aachen offers various insights into the world of theatre. We take a look behind the scenes, but also tell the story of what happened on the theatre's stages. What was particularly well received? What challenges were there? What happened at Theater Aachen during the Nazi era and how did the theatre rebuild after being almost completely destroyed during the war? ‘Bravo! Bravissimo! 200 Years of Theater Aachen’ invites all visitors to discover the theatre from a new perspective. Many historical moments are presented in an entertaining way through exhibits and
documents or as videos and audio clips. Immerse yourself in the thoughts of important personalities, such as Ferdinand Ries, the conductor and director of the first Lower Rhine Music Festival in Aachen. The exhibition offers an insight into 200 years of Aachen's theatre history, playing with different time levels. It provides insights into the past, present and future of the Aachen Theatre.
