Amidst the scent of cinnamon, pine greenery and mulled wine, our stand no. 98 shines brightly and invites you on a journey of discovery full of colour, imagination and craftsmanship.
Behind Urathy Handmade are three sisters who share a common passion: a love of traditional craftsmanship, sustainability and timeless style. What once began as a labour of love is now a creative bridge between East Africa and Europe – a place where cultures meet and stories are told in the form of jewellery and decorations.
Our jewellery is much more than just accessories. They are small works of art, handmade from natural materials such as brass, stone, wood, paper, clay, recycled glass and gemstones. Each piece is unique, created with love and a touch of African ease. And Christmas also takes on a very special meaning for us: artistic Christmas figures made from woven banana leaves – our ‘African Santa Clauses’ travel on camels, bicycles or even in a boat full of gifts, bringing humour and warmth to the cold season.
Colourful angels made of sisal and banana leaves spread heavenly joy and light in every home. Hand-painted pencils bring smiles to children's faces. Our colourful belts and dog collars are also handmade, and each piece is truly unique.
