Aachen Christmas Market opens on 22 November - one month of joyful enjoyment.
Aachen. It's that time again! The Aachen Christmas Market opens its doors on 22 November and from then until 23 December you will have the opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe.
Visit the 51st Aachen Christmas Market and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of the stalls and the glittering lights around the cathedral and the town hall.
More than 120 traders, craftsmen, artists and restaurateurs will offer a journey for all the senses: glorious Christmas decorations, candles and Printen, festive music and handicrafts from traditional workshops. Christmas sounds and the delicious scent of Aachener Printen, cinnamon stars, marzipan, chestnuts and fine spices are then in the air for a month, attracting young and old to the imperial city.
As soon as the Printenmann is standing and the Christmas tree is enlightened, the Aachen Christmas Market is officially opened!
The Aachen Christmas Market not only shines with history and traditions! No! In the imperial city, tradition and modernity are combined. The proof of this is, among other things, the Christmas Market's homepage as well as its Facebook and Instagram account. Furthermore, the city of Aachen, in cooperation with NetAachen, is providing free W-LAN for all visitors to the Aachen Christmas Market again this year - unlimited and free of charge.

The Christmas present for your loved ones should not be missing in the preparations either. The open Sunday, on 8 December from 1 to 6 pm, is the perfect opportunity for this. Let Aachen's retailers advise you and browse the shops in hopefully fine weather. Last-minute gift buyers will also have the chance for a relaxed shopping spree on 21 December, because on this Saturday the Aachen Christmas market invites you to stay until 10 pm on this day.
To ensure that all visitors can get to the city centre easily and experience the Christmas market without stress, the Park-and-Ride ticket (P&R ticket) offers relaxed arrival and departure. More than 1.700 P&R parking spaces are available in Aachen: Westfriedhof (Vaalser Straße), Waldfriedhof (Monschauer Straße), Hangeweiher (Hermann-Löns-Allee), Tivoli car park (Krefelder Straße) and Jülicher Straße/Berliner Ring car park. The principle is simple: park your car in the P&R car parks and travel with up to five people by bus to the city centre or the Christmas market and back again - for only five euros. P&R tickets can be purchased from the bus drivers. In the Tivoli multi-storey car park, the parking ticket taken at the entrance is valid as a ticket.
Information: The Aachen Christmas Market only opens from 6 p.m. on 24 November (Dead Sunday) and closes at 8 p.m. on 23 December.
