FORGER'S WORKSHOP

There is a lot of talk about counterfeiting these days. But "fakes" are nothing new; counterfeiting has probably always been around. Forgers were also active in Aachen. For example, they copied valuable pieces of jewellery from Charlemagne's treasury. The museum's forgery workshop produces its own copies.
